Admin notes for the M4E bot on your server

Check the Role Hierarchy

• Discord bots cannot manage users or roles above them
• By design a Bot cannot edit the name of a server founder
• Open Server Settings > Roles
• Drag m4engine role to the top
• The bot must sit above any role it modifies

Administrator

The bot uses "Administrator" permissions by default. If you want to limit the permissions that is up to you, however for the bot to function it needs these permissions enabled:

• View Channels
• Manage Channels
• Manage Roles
• Create Invite
• Change Nickname
• Manage Nicknames
• Send Messages and Create Posts
• Embed Links
• Mention @everyone, @here, and All Roles
• Use Application Commands
